Exploring The Legal Process

Hello everyone! I'm Gael Phillips. It is nice to meet you. I'm here to talk to you about criminal laws, court proceedings and legal repercussions. I feel that sharing this knowledge is important, as many people do not realize how the legal process works. My first, and only, scrape with the law left me shaken. I did not know what to expect throughout the entire case, so I felt unprepared for the outcome. I hope to share my knowledge with people who are in need of support throughout the legal process. I will also post stories full of information about past legal cases for an idea about how the law works. The legal process doesn't need to be scary and mysterious. Sharing stories can give others the insight they need about their situation. Thanks for visiting, come back often!

The Aftermath Of A Motorcycle Accident: What You Need To Know About Hiring A Personal Injury Attorney

If you were recently injured as the result of a motorcycle accident, there are a few things that you should know about hiring a personal injury attorney. Taking the time to review the facts outlined below can ultimately help to ensure you get the legal help you need.

#1: It Is Always Best To Speak To A Motorcycle Accident Personal Injury Attorney Before Speaking To The Insurance Company

The first call that many people make after a motorcycle accident is to the insurance company to file a claim. This can be a big mistake. This is because when filing an insurance claim, you will be asked to give a statement regarding the events leading up to your accident, what damage was done to your vehicle, and what injuries you suffered. Any information that you provide can potentially be used by the insurance company to challenge liability or to try and minimize your compensation. That is why it is always best to speak to a personal injury attorney who specializes in motorcycle accidents before you speak to the insurance company. This will allow your attorney to communicate with the insurance company for you in order to ensure that no statement is given that could hurt your case.

#2: You Never Need To Worry About Your Ability To Pay A Personal Injury Attorney

Many people avoid contacting a personal injury attorney regarding their accident claim simply because they are worried about their ability to pay for these legal services. This is really quite unfortunate because the truth is that you never need to worry about your ability to pay a motorcycle accident attorney. This is because these attorneys work on what is known as a contingency basis. This means that they only get paid if and when they win your case. Furthermore, any legal fees that are owed will be deducted from your settlement so there is no need to worry about having enough money to cover these fees.

#3: A Motorcycle Accident Attorney Cannot Help If You Have Already Accepted Payment

The law only gives you one chance to settle your injury claim. Once you have accepted payment, you are no longer allowed to seek further compensation even if you discover that your injuries are significantly more severe than you originally thought. This means that even the most qualified injury attorney will not be able to help you if you have chosen to accept payment in your case. In order to avoid finding yourself in this situation, it is vital that you reach out to a motorcycle accident personal injury attorney before accepting any form of payment for your injuries.
