Exploring The Legal Process

Hello everyone! I'm Gael Phillips. It is nice to meet you. I'm here to talk to you about criminal laws, court proceedings and legal repercussions. I feel that sharing this knowledge is important, as many people do not realize how the legal process works. My first, and only, scrape with the law left me shaken. I did not know what to expect throughout the entire case, so I felt unprepared for the outcome. I hope to share my knowledge with people who are in need of support throughout the legal process. I will also post stories full of information about past legal cases for an idea about how the law works. The legal process doesn't need to be scary and mysterious. Sharing stories can give others the insight they need about their situation. Thanks for visiting, come back often!

Cruise Illness: Evidence For A Lawsuit

Summer time is an amazing time to take a cruise vacation. However, one thing you have to be concerned about is getting a serious illness. While it is rare, it does still happen from time to time. Getting sick on a cruise cannot only put a huge damper on your trip, but it can also cause you extreme stress and frustration. In some cases, a cruise ship can be held legally liable for illnesses obtained on the ship due to negligence. If this happens to you, it is important to know what to do. Here are some things to look out for:

Listen For Other Cases of Illness

If you or one of your travelling partners become sick while on your cruise, take some time to listen to what other cruisers are talking about. If you do hear about others being sick, find out what their symptoms are. If they are dealing with nausea and stomach maladies, chances are they got sick from some source on the cruise ship. This can help you develop a pattern to help you prove your case.

Watch For Warning Signs

There are some warning signs to look out for if you think the ship is responsible for your illness. One of the most obvious is excessive cleaning. While regular cleaning and maintenance are a part of daily life on a cruise ship, use of heavy disinfectants, gloves, masks, and protective clothing are very large signs that something is not right. If you notice this cleaning going on in several areas of the ship at the same time, chances are they are trying to eliminate an illness. This can serve as another piece of evidence if you are going to file a personal injury case. It will be even better if you can get pictures of this activity.

In addition to these hints, another obvious sign are any announcements over the sound system about potential illness. If you can get this as a recording on your phone, it will be a very solid piece of evidence.

If you become sick on your cruise so much so that it completely ruins you vacation, you can consider a personal injury suit. You will need to act fast because these types of lawsuits have a strict statute of limitations. It will vary based on your state, but most all cruise lines have a very short window for you to file a lawsuit. Make sure you have the help of a personal injury lawyer so everything is filed correctly.
